Funding
The Case Western Reserve University Cystic Fibrosis Mouse Models Core is supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Mouse creation
The CWRU Transgenic and Targeting Core Facility was instrumental in the creation of CF mouse strains originating at Case Western Reserve University. http://ko.cwru.edu
Citing the use of CF mice from our core:
Please acknowledge "Case Western Reserve University Cystic Fibrosis Mouse Models Core" if you utilize any mice from our core in your publication. This includes mouse breeders we may have sent to establish a colony at your own institution. These acknowledgements will assist our core to maintain funding and keep providing cystic fibrosis mouse models to all CF researchers.
Environmental measurements in our mouse facility:
We have found that environmental disturbances can effect breeding of our mice (which is true for most mouse colonies) so we are currently using The Sensory Sentinel from Turner Scientific to measure light, temperature, humidity, noise and vibration of our rooms and cages. This environmental monitoring equipment allows us to identify environmental disturbances quickly thereby increasing the breeding efficiency of our mouse colony.
